Some general questions about my WoW account:

It's been a while since I've traded.
From what I understand, are SQA's useless now?

I have an account that I am not the OO of - that I have worked very hard on, and want to continue doing so - but every now and again when I log on, I get nervous that one day it is going to be recalled by whoever the OO was(hasn't played in over a year).

Is there any true way to make this mine and safe? I remember the old xfer the toon to a new account trick - but if SQA's are pointless and Blizz uses picture ID's now, won't this be useless?

SQA are far from pointless, its one of the few security key that will always be required to do account modification. There no 100% way to make an account without your name on it yours, there always a risk for a recall.

Well, if / when I create a new account(under the OO's name) - don't I have to make my own SQA? If a recall tried to happen, wouldn't the person just receive the account without the toon?

I thought when you make a new account you can create your own SQA - and if everything requires that for account modification I should be good without risk, right?

Yes and no, the OO wont be able to ''recall'' the new account. But he can fill in an unauthorized character transfer. Which will basically recall the toon to the original account.

ps: you need the original account SQA to be able to x-fer it to a new account with the same name.

I have ALL information on the account. Every possible detail on the owner is in this .doc file I have. I bought the toon from a major seller - who says everything they sell is guaranteed (TWV, 100-120 positive rep).

I wouldn't worry much then, in the worst case scenario if [censored] would really hit the fan, they would refund you or remplace your account.

Usually after 3 months, recall are highly unlikely.

I figured. I got it for cheap because it appeared the person hit 80 - and did nothing else. So I geared him out / max'd professions, etc - just didn't want a recall after the announcing of Cataclysm.
