Traffic continues to rise and the forums are getting slower, so tonight we are doubling the RAM on the server to 12 GB. The upgrade will begin at 1am EST and is expected to take about 20-30 mins, so downtime will be about the same. It's a pretty simple upgrade so we're not expecting any issues, but you never know.

The server is still EXTREMELY slow under a load of less than 250 users. You may need to check your apache status and see how many requests are sitting idle. You may need to lower the cookie timeout to 5-10 minutes down from 15 minutes in the vB adminstrative options.
As of now, this site is extremely hard to navigate with 5-10 minute page loads.

Does tend to reload slowly even after the "fix" but its not bad its hardly noticeable until i have 5 pages open

I noticed a stalling load time once, but ever since the upgrade no more "Cannot load page" errors. It does still tend to be a bit slow at times, but I factor that into my internet partly.
for the most part it seems to be loading quickly, however I've noticed at times, for what seems like no reason, it does load slowly as KHAccounts.net posted above.
I'll try some of those suggestions and a few more tweaks to boost performance today.
