@
lattegroom Mate, it happens to a lot of people. Imposter scams are like a learning curve. You just need to hope it's not too costly. It's happened to me, as well as 10s of thousands of others. It's about learning and moving forward.
Here are some tips to make sure it never happens again;
- Always request a PM from user here on EpicNPC
- Do your background checks: search their PayPal email, usernames, Discord IDs and any other identifying info
- Consider the use of our middleman system Trade Guardian. Normally when this is mentioned it becomes, "I DONT TRUST EPIC MM THEY SCAMMED ME", or they ghost you. Then you know you're dealing with a scammer.
Although not fool proof (nothing is), this will give you a basis to help keep you safe.
You're a good bloke. I know it and you know it too.
Goodluck in your next trade mate and we're very sorry for your loss.
KhmerSensei I hope his latest post is a satisfactory apology.
Moving to offsite scammers.
