Scammed I need help Please look

I recently gott scammed last night..i payed the dude western unionmoney transfer over the net. the moment he scammed me i called then up and said to cancel the transaction. they said i could because it was the same day. the woman told me that my money would go back to my debit card. i woke up this morning to find the money still hasnt been sent back to me. What im wondering is does it take 24 hours to get back to me or what?
