Renting ever safe?

I stopped using an account a while ago and almost sold it. I hear around the site (haven't been here long) about renting and to me it sounds to good to be true. I know that people get scammed all the time for this, but is there any legit renters anywhere, and how can I be safe if this is there is legit stuff.

There is no renting posts at all. And while you might get some cash from some renters, your account will get banned eventually.

Yeah, I rented my account to someone called UPSgame and my account was banned. Its mostly bots and what not.
