We made a few more improvements to the sidebar today which are listed below.

  • Thread filters were added. By default all 3 will display.
    • My Threads - Threads you created.
    • Watch Threads - Threads on your watch list.
    • Replied Threads - Threads you replied to.
  • 'Recently Visited' alerts will now appear in the main nav bar so you can see alerts without having to open the sidebar.
    • Only pinned forums will trigger an alert. (gray counter)
    • Other non-pinned forums will still show the "NEW" indicator, but they do not count towards the alert counter.

I recommend when you click on a recent forum with "new" content, the default sort order of the forum be by newest threads and not last bump or reply so you can look at the new content.
 
Is there a way to undo removed Threads from Quick Sidebar ?
 
Is there any news about returning the option to shows The New topics created by the following members ?
 
Most likely that won't be returning.

That update was not related to the sidebar. That was part of the "News Feed" page which was disabled. We plan to introduce something different, but somewhat similar in the future.
 
Would be great addition if we can see threads on sidebar with upgrades ( bold ,green , blue , green with light ) , easier to notice if some thread is missing upgrade or not.
 
That already appears in your watch list. Adding all the upgrades to the sidebar could make it confusing and harder to differentiate read and unread threads. I would prefer a clearer look.
 
Is there any possibility the side bar will return to the old version? The newest side bar sometimes don't show which thread are ready to bump, and I like the previous version where the thread on sidebar is ordered based on only the lastest bump without considering the lastest reply/posted

The new sidebar does shows when you're threads are ready to bump. The only instance when a thread will not appear as "bumpable" in the sidebar is if you have reached your page 1 limit for a section.

For example.
  • Section A has a 5 thread limit for page 1
  • You have active 10 threads in Section A
  • All 10 of your threads are on page 2+
    • All 10 threads will appear in the sidebar as bumpable
  • Once you have bumped 5 threads, you have reached the page 1 limit
    • The remaining 5 threads can no longer be bumped
      • These 5 threads will still appear in your sidebar, but they won't display the bumpable indicator
 
It seems that watched threads from private forums don't appear in the sidebar at all. I know this was changed because members who are former mods were getting them in the sidebar, but now actual mods can't follow any threads in the private forum.
 
Actually, something seems broken.

This is my watch list, showing 6 threads that were active recently.

I can't see the sidebar, how can I fix that?
