Possible scam method

Hi, I want to trade accounts with someone via middleman but my friend told me he tried as well without middleman and the other person told epic to retreive his acc so my friend got scammed. Can this happen to me as well?

If i am reading this correctly, yes the other person can recover their account at anytime. No middleman will change that.

I'm assuming by Epic you're talking about a Fornite account and Epic Games, right?

Yes, for most accounts the original owner will always have the ability to recover it. There is nothing a middleman or anyone can do to prevent that. This is why it's important to purchase from someone that has good reputation.
