I can't contain my excitement for the PC I am waiting on with delivery. I haven't upgraded in 5 years but after my last PC literally exploded a couple days ago (I think it was the power supply) it was time to invest in a new one.
I had to keep the specs inside a certain budget, and even though I blew over it a little I think it was worth it. The Mrs. isn't as impressed as I am going over budget but she will come around in time. Alas here is my build,
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K
MoBo: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3200MHz
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB NVME (x2)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D (I read that this is really good with combating dust)
Fans: 140mm Aerocool LED fans x2
Power: 750W Gigabyte 80 Plus Gold
Cooler: Corsair H60SE Liquid Cooler
GFX: Gigabyte 1080ti OC 11GB
Total Cost (including assembly, windows and delivery): $3700AUD
I needed something that can run Star Citizen well into the future since I don't upgrade often. Provided the game actually releases of course. Also sick of struggling with PubG so at least I can have some good frame rates instead of watching blob houses and terrain loading over the first 5 minutes every game.
I really hope I made some good choices in parts and aiming to still have this PC in at least 3 years more time. Excited much!
