New Seller- Establishing Credibility

Greetings,
I've had my WoW account since launch, and have decided that I'd rather sell it than keep going, but I have an issue I'm not sure how to get around. I understand and value the rep system markeedragon has, and I also know that as a new member to the community, I'm not a very lucrative choice for a buyer.

One of my main questions is, I've been doing a lot of reading up on how to avoid scammers, and I think the one of the best suggestions I've found is to make sure to have the buyer pay first, and then wait 4-5 days for the money to be fully transfered before giving up my account info to the buyer. However, it seems like the buyer would be uncomfortable in such an action, even though I'm a premium, paypall verified account holder, and also (in the next ~1 hour) going to be trust who verified, it seems like the buyer would want more. I mean, I feel I'm an excellent candidate for a buyer to pick (OO, access to literally every bit of detail of the account, etc), but how can I create trust w/ buyers?

One other question I have is, how do I go about showing the prospective buyer my account in game without giving him the account info? Just tell him to log into my server and talk to me?

Thanks for any and all help you can offer, and if you have any other suggestions for a new seller, please let me know.

This is a VERY safe way to go about selling on these forums, but as you said some potential buyer might not be interested in this. My suggestion would be a variation on this method. Once you have the money in you paypal account, give the buyer JUST the acc name and password. But you HAVE to let the buyer no this BEFORE he paypals you or else he will be quite angry with only getting partial account info and now no money.

This is definitely a smart thing to do if you want to get up in these forums.

This is how most users prove that they have access to the account in question, simply log on to your character, tell the buyer to make and orc or human or w/e and inv him to group. Once in a party say NOTHING about the trade, just stuff like hey howsit goin etc.. If you do say "oh man i hope we can get this trade going, ive been wanting to sell my account for ever" if the person you are dealing with is a huge d-bag, they can report you, get your account banned, just by that one sentence.

Also if you are looking to sell your account fast and hassle free, there are plenty of powersellers out there that will buy your account very quickly, but for a much cheaper price. These people are:
-nsxgaming
-K4gaming
-Wickedtrades
-Snowy935

Another advantage to these guys is you will get a positive rep, which if you plan on doing business in the future on these forums will help tons.

Also you have the option of using a reputable middleman. A person who you tell info and such to, and they relay it your buyer. There are many people on these forums that will do it free of charge!

Hope this helped, and welcome to the forums!

PS. THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading the stickies before thinking of selling your account, so many people neglect those things and then get scammed and whine about it, its very anoying.
