I'm happy to introduce a new alert system that allows members to take action against suspected or known scammers or rule breakers. The greatest benefit of this new system is that members will be able to take action even when a moderator isn't online.
We've done away with the "dislike" button and in its place you will see a new "Alert" button.
What does the Alert button do?
Who can use the Alert button?
Only members who have upgraded their account to any of our three membership plans found here: http://www.epicnpc.com/threads/378588-Usergroup-Benefits
When should I click the Alert button?
If you believe someone is a previously banned member or scammer, their post is extremely suspicious or they're breaking forum rules. Please click the Alert button.
Please do not click Alert if you don't like the user or don't like their offer.
Can Alerts be removed?
Yes and No. Alerts can be removed, however the user who originally clicked Alert can just click it again.
If an Alert was removed and the person clicks it again for the same post or against the same member, that will be considered abuse.
Abuse
Those who abuse the system will no longer be able to use it.

What does the Alert button do?
- When a post receives X amount of alerts a notification is sent to all moderators and admins so they can investigate.
- If more alerts are triggered the user who created the post will be temp-banned and a ticket will be created.
- Once this happens a mod or admin will investigate to determine if the user should be permanently banned or unbanned.
- If unbanned, additional Alerts will not trigger any other actions.
