It seems we've hit a small bump in the road and the domain switch will require some down-time. I thought I could just update the DNS zones to start pointing the forum subdomain to the new domain without having to move anything, however I've been told that is not possible with a subdomain.
So, I will have to move the files and database over, but it shouldn't be as bad since they are already on the same server.
I'm waiting for the new domain to update its DNS, this can take a few hrs up to 48 hrs. In the mean time I will be copying over all the files. Once the new domain is up, I will be closing the forums, then move the database over, so when the forums come up, we'll be on the new domain.
I expect it won't take 48 hrs, probably later today or tonight.
