as he linked a very legit rep so i trusted him

i should have realized sooner that the O in WOW was a 0 and it should have thrown me off but it didnt

Sorry but as you stated you were hit by an impersonator. I'm moving this to scam busters as there's nothing we can do since this person doesn't have an MMOBay account we know of.
Also, to prevent these scams from occurring, ALWAYS Copy and Paste the AIM address in the user's signature and ALWAYS have them post in your thread OR PM you

The only way to prevent a scam like this is to verify the identity of the person you are talking to.

If they say that they cannot post at that time or cannot log in; simply tell them that they can contact you later, after they are able to do so.

For the future. I suggest you take a look at this and read up on Impostor prevention as it is a very easy way to pinpoint if the user is actually really talking to you.
