Looks like Veriff dosent accept Russian IDs

This happened to me. After talking to friends, I found out that they also couldn't get verified through the service.

This is simply not stated anywhere, so please warn users from undesirable countries not to register here at all, or (if this is the only Veriff's policy, and not yours) consider changing your verification service.

I just shared my passport. Tried takin shots in different lighting conditions and with different smartphones (w better cameras).

And I'm not the only one with this problem. Several of my friends also can't pass Veriff, even with their DLs, though they tried on other websites (something related to crypto, dunno the details).

We do not accept the old passports. The newer passports must be used. (from 2010+) Your passport is also expired so it can't be accepted.

I got mine in 2015, so how it can be old? And wdym by "expired"?

We do not accept the old non-biometric passports. The old passports are valid for 5 years after they were issued, meaning your passport expired more than 5 years ago.

Thx I finally got it. Veriff only accept international passport, not local one. I have a DL, but it is also local, although all the fields are duplicated in Latin. I got mine before 2024, so it is not plastic but laminated paper. And it doesn't have a title in English or French, only in Russian. Will my DL be suitable and will I be banned by the system since I will start submitting a different document during the verification process?
