So after being on this site for a few days, with 1 digit post counts and 0 reps.. I've had a over a dozen of scammers contact me trying to scam me for my uber not-so-leet account. Luckily for me, I like reading and also I'm usually pretty careful about certain things. I'd like to share with you all a very simple way to find out if these possible "Repped" users are who they say they are.

Fonts can do wonders!
If a supposed "Repped" member contacts you, with a link to his/her feed back page, but fails to post a reply on your post for whatever the reason.. its 99% of a chance that they're a fake. But sometimes, their story is so convincing or they seem legit enough, with their TrustWho E-Mail and what not.. so how are you supposed to know? It's easy.

Check out the feedback page and see how their Screen names and/or E-mail i.d's are spelled and written. Check for Capitals and beware of 0's(number) and O's(letters) and i's and L's.

Example: Here is a recent one of our brave scammer contestants who was nearly convincing, except for his constant "I'm REPPED!" whining: HORNYSPlKES630. If you look at the REAL Hornyspikes Feedback page, His screen name is clearly all Lower cased letters, whereas his was all capitals. But no matter how you look at it, all the letters and numbers are correct... so what you do is:

Copy and Paste the possible scammers Screen name/Email address into any word pad, IM screen, Email.

Highlight The screen name/Email adress, And then..

Change the Font Style Of that name to identify the differences between the L's and i's. O's and 0's. (this can be done by right clicking on the selected text and then going to font menu)

Ta-da! Congratulations you've just identified a scammer. Remember to use common sense, and don't be afraid to say "No!" and state your opinion if you feel like they're rushing you or if you feel unsure about the transaction. Remember to always Sell or Buy on your terms if you feel it is 100% necessary.

I am looking forward to becoming a help to this community one of these days, but hopefully, this small guide will help even atleast 1 person.

See ya!

Why not just say that they have to post msn/aim/email in the thread, or PM you. And then you add him?
Then you can see hes reputation.
That's what i do when i trade/sell/buy!
