Hey guys, I am about to buy a account on lol.
But I am realy scared of getting scammed, I already got scammed once from a guy here (bought a gw2 acc) and lost 50€ I think and the account...
Now I try it again and I am scared so please tell me, how to detect scammers and also how to buy safe from people without reprutation :o
Can I retire money via Paypal? Because I read you cant get money back on digital accounts.

Use a middleman or use trade guardian from EpicNPC. That's best way to avoid scammers.

but even if I use the trade guardian or a middleman there is one huge problem, he could give me his email and account but not more informations, then he writes to the support that he lost email access and his account have been hacked, he shows some old payments or so that he didnt gave me because he told me e.g he dont have them stored or so, then they will give him the account and I lose money, is there a way to prewent that?

There is a way, only trade with people who are here for quite a while and established a good reputation.

Alot of new account sellers here that sell accounts cheap have a hidden trick under their sleeve.\

Also look at badges below the account username, if the guy is Verified it usually means he will not scam since his personal information is on the site.

I agree with TeraLover. There are multiple people on each game forum that sell accounts and have a proven track record. Buy an account that is secured by one of these reputable sellers in that area.

The problem about that is that I dont find a good deal, some sell accounts way higher then I want to spend e.g lol silver account 50champs 30€ but very nice rep, other guy plat 5 80champs 30€ :o I will try to find the best deal thanks ;)

Buying accounts always got risks, the older the account is, the greater the risks are, you have no way to know what happen on the account prior to being sold, you can end up getting your account suspended because previous owner flamed, trolled, raged and so on, or worse used bots/3rd party programs or used the account to fish other account info. You can get the account suspended for something that happen months or years before. It's the same with accounts that had more than one previous owner.

Cheap doesn't always mean is bad, but if I were you, I'd rather spend a little extra for something a little more secure, is not like you buy accounts each day and just to use them few minutes, you buy them once and enjoy them for a long time. A seller with decent reputation would never try to sell such accounts, because his reputation is at risk, he takes risks just as much as you do, if one earns his living selling accounts could end up with unpaid bills.

And let's be honest, the pricing ranges are fair, some people spend more money on a single order of pizza or other fastfood, I live in a poor country but I still don't find it hard to save extra 10-20 euro.

That is just my point of view.

Spend some time with the seller/buyer. You can usually tell if he is being somewhat honest just by talking to the person and checking him out on google.

Middleman/Tradeguardian is not really worth it in cases of low value trades, and as you said they can not do anything when the other party requests their account back or similar.

Be ready to move on at any time, so many times I see people wasting their time with somebody who is clearly a scammer just because they want to sell their stuff or badly want to buy something.

Also avoid buying/selling to risky countries like Russia, China, Brasil etc. in my experience the little gain you can get from trading with people from these countries is just not worth the high amount of scams that come from them.

I just got scammed for 45 Euro and I had to look into ways to avoid this from happening again, I have called paypal and asked them to take legal actions against the person that managed to commit fraud not only against me, but many others besides... and they explained me how the system works.

As a seller, you must have seller protection at any transaction. Seller protection is valid for those who own a website from which the buyer is purchasing from, a website that offers invoices. Or you can send the invoices directly from your paypal account, without those invoices there is no seller protection. The payment can't be made by guest accounts since those DO NOT offer seller protection, therefor it is recommended to received payments only from your website, from what I understand guest accounts can't make such payments.

You can request at any time for paypal to take legal actions if you believe that the scammer commits fraud and/or they abuse the protection system, from what I understand this can only be done by phone and your case will be forwarded to their legal department, in the event that the owner's account got hacked, the legal actions will be taken against the person who accessed the account without permission, so I gather that someone will get punished after all.

Paypal representative told me that such things happen, that people take advantage and abuse their system, they said they were sorry and what not, but in the end I gather it is our responsibility to prevent such things from happening. They cannot update you on the legal actions they take against scammers, but the more complains they receive, the faster they take the legal actions against frauds.

If your transaction got no seller protection, you will not receive a refund of the money lost. In my case, I have asked the buyer to specify same terms and conditions as I would normally use in any of my invoices, but due to the fact that payment was done without the invoice, those terms and conditions became null/they were not taken into consideration and all they offered to do is refund 10 euro to me, as a seller.

I hope that information helps you for future transactions and to avoid getting scammed, I encourage you to always call paypal and explain your story and ask them to take legal actions against those who commit fraud, from what I gather offering any kind of services is NOT against the law, as long as it involves labor work or if you got full ownership of the items you're selling.
