Have you tried the Emoji button? Also special characters ect could be done by using certain websites that let you copy and paste them

You can use 7 special characters in your thread title.
Emojis count as 2 or 3. The star counts as 2. You can find all emojis here: https://unicode.org/emoji/charts/full-emoji-list.html

The thread you linked contains
2 stars = 4
2 vertical lines = 2
1 dash = 1

That's right at the limit of 7.
