How many days or weeks after the trade do scammers usually wait to recover the account?

It's all over the place. Could be five minutes, could be several months. Usually within 30 days from what I've seen though.

Connect the account to your battle net account if you are afraid of them recalling the account. Best off buying an account from someone who seems sketchy in the first place in my opinion.

If your really worried then connect the account to a battle net account then it will change the last name. Attach another fresh account then transfer the character to the fresh account.
