So i traded my account straight up with a guy over the phone for another account. I have his SQA, my email is on the account, i have his first and last name, no cd key. So essentially, i have all his info. If i were to go to the extent to xfer some characters off to another account, is it legitly safe? Or is it ever safe?

Not having access to the CD keys is always a problem. Usually when I call them they ask me for all my personal information and the SQ and all that crap. Then after I give it to them with no problems, they usually ask for the CD keys.
Having the CD Keys technically means that you bought the account, and that you are the owner of it. You could transfer the toons over to a new account safely, but if he ever decides that he wants to take the account that you traded back, and he still has the CD keys, he can probably find a way to get the toon back from your newly created account by saying his account was compromised. As long as he does it within a reasonable time frame. But I don't know for certain; I'm no expert.

Unfortunately there is no way to secure an account 100%. However, if you follow some of the guides posted in this section then you can at least be safe in the knowledge that you did everything that you could.
