EpicNPC App Now Available!

UPDATED Jan 15, 2022 - New update to Epicnpc app is available. Please update in the Google Store.

- Header has been removed so save space.
- Quick link buttons added at the bottom to allow users to more quickly switch between the main site, chat and alert pages

- IOS app has been delayed indefinitely.

It is very similar to the website, but with some additional buttons to make switching between the site and chat easier.

The main purpose of the app is give members the ability to receive notifications on their phone. To that affect, we have updated and created a new notification page where members can manage and adjust all of their notifications in one place. Previously these settings were on multiple different pages which made some hard to find.

We're also working on an IOS app for the iPhone, but Apple is a pain so it's taking longer to get setup. We expect that IOS app to be available in 1-2 weeks.

I wonder if people use this apps on their phone, and they have vpn activate when in needed

and in same time they receive a chat or notification from the apps, even if we don't open the apps while we using the vpn, do we got banned because violate the vpn rules?

That depends on other factors which I can't discuss. It could lead to a ban or disabled account.

I afraid there wouldn't be lot of people will use it

for pc game seller, they definitely in front of pc and no need to have this apps on their phone

meanwhile for me that focus on mobile games, this apps quite handy so I don't need go to my pc just to reply chat / message from other members

but the risk is vpn issues, because these days mobile games have region lock and need vpn to play

maybe in future can develop the apps for chat or sending message between members by login using epicnpc account? so even if using vpn there should be no issues since the apps function only to chat/sending message

Currently 50% of our traffic is already mobile.

The main purpose of the app is add phone notifications. This has been requested by many members and the only way to add them is to create an app.

Those that want to setup phone notifications will download the app, those that don't need them can continue using the site in their phone browser. The overall experience will be the same. The app just has a few extra buttons and tabs to make moving around faster.

I've tried the apps this morning

and I found some issues,

usually if on pc, when we click "chat" on the thread, it will also include the post/thread URL when we try contact the seller/buyer

but on the apps, you don't have the "chat" button, so I need to open the seller profile first and send message from there, and since it's apps, there is no URL shown to be copied like browser

so I tried the "share" button, I tried to use the button "copy to clipboard" but it's not work, I need to select all manually and copy the url

maybe either fix the copy button or make the chat available on apps?

I just got temp ban because of rule violation, not vpn. I dont prefer you use mobile app if you need to use vpn.

Not for a while. Apple has requirements that are basically forcing us to create a custom app for IOS since they denied the app we submitted multiple times. We're putting it at the bottom of our to-do list and well get to it once all other planned updates are complete. Maybe by late 2022.

the new update where header removed is not user friendly,

this make user need go back home first when on chat/message if they want go check the post/thread,

when there is header, we can just use the sticky active threads to navigate to the post/thread that mentioned on chat/message

and again, the copy button when you want to share on the apps still not working, you need to manualy copy to clipboard, it make harder to copy url post/thread when having chat/message

the header nav bar is still there for mobile, you just have to click the 'up' arrow first. It's on the left side.

What copy button? On mobile I can copy text and paste it where I want, I'm not sure I understand what copy button you're referring to.

there is no up arrow on chat, there is no more header if we are on chat after the new update on playstore

Sorry, probably longer than expected.

Apple has some strict requirements with their app store and payments that we're trying to figure out. No matter what we do, we'll need to make a big change to our payment system which will be a big update. (these changes will only be seen in the IOS app)

There are other big updates we're working on now that we believe will have a bigger impact, so we're focusing on those first. Once all those are done, we're going to go back and setup the IOS app.

Our IOS app was denied. Apple was requiring us to update payments so everything went through the Apple store. We have to develop a separate app for IOS to accomplish this which we do not have time to do.

We are working on other big updates right now, then will circle back to the IOS app once those updates are completed.

IOS won't happen for at least a year or two.

Apple requires all payments through Apple and they take 30%. They're being sued for this, so we're waiting to see what happens.

If they win, this means we have to create a new app specifically for Apple with their payment system.

With Android we don't have to change anything. The app and website are nearly identical and when we make changes to the website, they automatically appear in the app. With Apple, we have to make a new app, everything has to be separate. In conclusion I hate Apple.

It's probably not a huge update to create the IOS app, but the IOS app would basically be a separate website. Every time we made an update, we'd have to update twice. I'd rather not do that.

If Apple loses the lawsuit, which I hope they do, then it might be possible to create an app in the same way we did for Android, so I'm waiting on the courts decision.
