It's not some worthless specialisation like farmer/cook that pays for their premium at best - 100/100 at T7 or T8 will get you real money. And additional 400 points in side nodes doubles the profit due to focus cost reduction.
This characters is best thing you can get for that money. They net you so much silver that you get an edge in any aspect of the game.
PVE? Just buy tomes! PVP? With the gear you can buy with this amount of silver you can start flexing on kids without real fear of losing it.
And best part? It technically might cost you nothing. You can just sell the character when you lose interest.

To answer some people misconceptions:
1.Getting proficiency in more than one crafting node is a waste. (If they are not related like refining of the same material)
2.Overall fame on money making characters doesn't mean anything. Character with 30kk crafting fame give you the same amount of silver as character with 1000kk fame.
3.Crafting fame is much more valuable than any PVE fame. You need to craft 500kk worth of blocks just for 100/100 T8 spec.
4.Getting 100/100 spec on set of gear with tomes is much cheaper than you might think it is.

ALSO CAN SELL ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF SILVER WITH THE CHARACTER FOR 0.90$ = 1kk.

Revived few characters just to test the waters and there is still the same easiest millions of silver waiting for someone to grab. There is a pictures of results from some random low effort activities with this characters i made in a few hours of free time.

You can use profits from this to buy PVE fame and get good functional all around character. Or buy some additional silver with character to get to that point almost instantly.

 

Because i didn't touch albion for more than a year bunch of accounts is now stuck in the infamous gmail "can't verify its you" loop. Hopefully situation resolves sometime soon

 

I've returned after more than year of slumber. Restoring catalogue takes too much time to finish, so for now just message me to get rough list of characters available.
Nothing is really changed in crafting aspect of the game but i prefer to not give answers in which im not 200% sure so for now if you buying an account don't expect me to explain high level things,

Without any means to dispose enormous amount of silver im getting i decided to convert it to spec points on characters #9/10/11. So they will be unavailable for some time and return as ~500/500 characters later.
At this point only accounts #3/4/7 available.
