Reported problem: I purchased this account on May 12, 2026. I played on it for about a month, and then the account was suddenly locked and banned. I contacted the seller to obtain the information Steam requested in order to unlock the account, but none of the information he provided matched Steam's records.
As a result, I filed a refund request through PayPal, which was the payment method I used. About 20 days later, I discovered that the account was active again and playing Lost Ark. A friend of mine, who still has the account added in-game and who played with me around the time the account was sold to me, confirmed this.
This means the seller essentially scammed me. He recovered the account after selling it to me, and now appears to be selling the same account again.
Outcome of dispute: Steam account was locked 1 month after the sale. Seller could not provide any help and the buyer opened a payment dispute instead.
Steam account is now active again, restored to original info.
Seller either recalled the account or sold a stolen account. Seller banned.
