Yes it is still ok. Powerleveling and item-grinding in group of 4 are still fine for money making.

If you want to earn money playing games try path of exile you can actually trade items there properly.

In short: No it is not worth your time.

You used to be able to make a lot of money from it, but nowadays the profit is too miniscule

The game feels pretty pointless at this point... A big part of D2's success was trading etc. Now everything is account bound
