My question pertains to the webform in which you can upload images of legal changed name to get the name of the Battle.net account changed.
Here's my question:
Does Blizzard legally verify the images you upload? Do they have access to this type of government database? An example is when they ask you to verify your identity on your account by scanning and uploading/faxing your government ID/Drivers License. How do they verify your identity from your faxes or uploads of your ID? Do they look it up in a government database, or do they simply view the scan, and accept it as long as it looks legit, and it has the correct information?
I guess if this is against forum rules, we can do away with this thread, if not...could this be a way to secure purchased accounts?
