Best WOW start server for gold farming?

I might want to pickup WOW for the coming few months until new games arrives. Does it matter a lot if I pick EU or US for farming gold? And must I pick a populated server or a new server? On what statistics must I go for? Hard to say as someone who has not played wow for like 4 years.

If you plan on botting, stay away from the high pop servers. So many botters to begin with cutting the crap out of the ahs.
