AVOID adding your mail or any off site info if you want to buy specific name (use PM ONLY!)
Scammer will contact you off site take your money and disappear!

Always ask proof that seller really own account what offer you
(in world or web login screenshot)

Careful analyze offer (some offers are just to good to be true)

Provide enough basic info about your sales (for sellers) such as:
- First or last name of your account
- Date registration of your account
- Payment method
- Only contact on the site or PM



Don't hesitate to open dispute against scammers!

These are very wise words from MaraDJ. There are many fraudsters active within EPICNPC and it is very difficult to get these people banned. ( and most probably will only open a new account and continue to practise their devious ways under another name )

As an avid collector and SL addict (and victim) I have managed to create a large database of characteristics where by I can often identify these criminals. PLEASE feel free to contact me with any cases and information where you feel that you have become a victim of a fraudster within this cool site and I will add these details to my database and pass on this information to EPICNPC and do my upmost to assist the administrators to identify the criminals who use EPICNPC for their own illegal gain at the expense of genuine EPICNPC members and users.

the website should make an ip adress detect mode, for exampleL If He/She made a fraud in first time, the second time she/he after ban tries to register a new one will be unallowed of detected ip's adress in blacklist, because it was fraud person. That will make this person more uncomfortable actions and lots of time spending to create one more account. That shoud've been done years ago

But also all members need to be careful because scammers always find way to make fraud.

Most people have a dynamic IP meaning that it will change on a set timer or when they simply reset their modem. It could be helpful against static IPs but even then there are measures to mask an IP sadly.

Yes true and not only that sadly...today everyone can go on some public spot with laptop and make account.So this is not only measure how to recognize scammer and stop him.

Plus if someone had their dynamic ip change to a blacklisted IP it would auto-ban someone that isn't a scammer. The idea is great but it would not be a reliable system.
