Super jealous, I wish the US had this the value of accounts would shoot through the roof.

If anything, it would drive the price down.

More supply and less demand = less money per account.

Who's to say the demand won't increase as well? If players know account selling is no longer against the rules and it can't be banned, players might be more willing to buy accounts too. Although I'm sure there will be still more sellers than buyers.

I'm really interested to see how Blizzard starts to handle this.

Accounts with value would be purchased by people who actually want a nice account. Of course the average blah account would be dirt cheap but the nice accounts would carry a hefty price and you would actually be able to get it.

Yeah, hope it works well in EU then maybe will come this way.

The thing is, they're only obliged to let you trade the account (license, etcc)
Any items or characters in it could still be deleted by blizz if you traded an account.

I don't think Blizzard could do that, items and gear you collect become part of your account. That would also be a horrible move by Blizzard to start deleting peoples items if they trade or sell their account.

Blizzard is up for sale atm. I think they don't want the headache that is about to ensue on them. xD

Well, the link only said they had to let the people use the license (in this case, game license and gametime)
Anything else, they are not obliged to.
They might add something to cover the cost of the reduce in gamekeys and time sold, for example, if you want the items and characters you have to pay a 30$ transfer fee or something ^^

Oh wow, wish the US branch of Blizz would let this happen. Tbh, it would help keep subs, as people bored with their accounts would be able to try out a new account.

Wait... No where does it actually state that Blizzard/other game companies are changing their EULA's/ToS to incorporate this. They are merely saying that within courts that the precedent/ruling has been set that any case brought to court involving intangible/digital licensing will be tossed out.

Please correct me if I am wrong!

Until Blizzard EULA changes allowing the sale of accounts, it's still very much enforceable. Doesn't matter what the law says, their game, their rules. You can sue Blizzard and I'm sure through their millions on lawyer fees they have spent on their EULA, they'll still find a way around this.
