It's beeen almost 2 months ago since it has happened. I advertised a paladin in the WTS forums for sale. I got a buyer late, LATE, well early in the morning, 3am EST. He paid, I went to sleep for the 2 hours I could before taking off to go to Florida, it was Sunday and all I wanted to do was watch the super bowl. That Monday, my paypal account was frozen because the [censored] used a hacked paypal account to pay me. As it stands the account hasn't been logged on since Feb 5. The scammer just wanted to get his kicks I guess and never even did anything with the account.

I DID change over the e-mail to him and gave him the sqa.

I still have all of that info, to include the cd keys, here's the question(s), can I still recover that account and how do I go about on doing it?

Not the o/o, the character was transferred to a new account and I have been busy and not sure on what to do on this matter, so what can be done?

Open a ticket on the account saying that someone hacked you. And your character has been deleted. Mention the character name class and level. They will probably give it back to you +rep

This happened to me on my Warlock. I had to send a copy of my Photo ID through Fax to get my Account back. The guy was farming DM and made me some gold, didn't even take anything out of my Account.

I learned to be suspicious of EVERYONE. Also to never rush things.

The guy changed the e-mail to something not matching the paypal e-mail, because It was stolen I assume, He changed it to [[email protected]] which is the scammers e-mail. Not sure if I'm allowed to post it.
