A Somewhat Novel Way To Get Scammed

Hi there,

Recently I was the victim of a somewhat original form of scamming. What happens is the Buyer pays via paypal, and then receives the account information. After taking all the gold off the account, vendoring all the items possible for gold, and then sending the gold to another account, the buyer then recalls payment from paypal. While you still have your account, you lose most of its valuables. Anyone else fall victim to this? Any ways around it?

you are actually lucky to have gotten your account back. usually if the scammer is any good, he / she will take your entire account and all valuable characters, transfer then all to another one and have your original account locked to prevent you from recalling (or at least making it much more difficult)

call blizz and get your stuff back. If you say you were hacked they can probably find whoever the guy mailed it to and ban his account. Good Luck.
