Fortunately, next week will be the second wave of the testing and more keys will be released. This will give more players a chance to take a first hand experience with this 4x4 map. Codename: Savage will be the smallest map in the game, which aims to create more intense and fast-paced Battle Royale experience for players.

If Erangel has the School and Miramar has Pecado, Codename: Savage has the Swamp Temple. It has a flat, open roof, and single internal floor that does not only need skills but pure luck in order to survive. As you can see in the map below, you can easily distinguish which places will give you similar experiences as the places in the other maps. For example, the Training Center looks like it could be the Los Leones or Yasnaya of the codename savage; the River Town can be associated with Rozhok or San Martin, etc.

- The environment is mostly green as it is filled with grasses and trees. So it would be more effective if you wear clothes that can camouflage with the surroundings. Wearing bright-colored clothes like yellow and orange will make enemies easier to spot you.
- Most areas are filled tall grasses and big rocks, so crouching or proning is an effective strategy to approach enemies.
- Unlike in the two other maps, the houses in Codename: Savage have either ridiculously wide windows or no windows at all. You can make that as an advantage, but you have to be cautious at the same time since the buildings are dark-colored and peeking is very obvious.
- As what have been mentioned earlier, the map is filled with grasses, trees, and rocks so always be wary of enemies lurking around. Never let your guard down.
- Since this map is way smaller and the safe zone is revealed as early as you take off the plane, vehicles are not as necessary as they are in the other maps. It will only reveal your location and risk being spotted.

The spawn rate of weapons in this map is noticeably higher than Erangel and Miramar. Just in the outskirts, you are guaranteed to find an assault rifle. Depending on the type of player you are, you can drop to ‘somewhat’ safe areas such as small compounds, or drop in hot spots like Training Center and Abandoned Resort. Anywhere, really. Even the houses gives you decent gears to fight back and defend yourself.
