I'm looking for a version that doesn't suck complete [censored] (if it's even possible). Every time I install it and use it, whether it was on XP a few years back, or on Win7 currently, it never works.

I want to know if some of you have problems with it at all, and how you fix these problems. I would also like to know where I could download a stable version, if possible.

<span style="color: #FFFF33">tl;dr: WMV has issues (Runs slow and kills my computer / especially when particle effects are added) I'm looking for a stable version, some tricks, or how to use it properly.</span>

<span style="color: #CC6600">I'll be giving positive reputation for whoever can fix this for me; whether it's a simple fix or not, I'd like it done, and I believe that people are never rewarded for doing simple things like this (because I'm usually not).</span>

Also, when I'm able to bear the pain while running this program, the final results are the same as they are if the program was working smoothly; I just don't want to deal with its poor performance and the feeling that it's killing my computer (when it's actually only using about 5% of my RAM and 10% of my cpu).

What compatibility should I try running it in? I guess I'll just try them all for now.

Update: tried all the different compatibilities; nothing seemed to work.
 
I don't know, but try running as admin?
 
I couldn't find a x64 version of this program and was using the x86. Normally, programs don't [censored] up as much as this one did while running it on x64 OS, but I guess that's what the only problem was. I feel like an idiot, but I got it working.
