WoW Account retrival require Notary?

I had a problem with a recaller recently and need to get an account of mine back. I have the ID scan and all the info, but when I google the account retrieval form, it says I need to take it to the notary. I'm not the OO, so obviously this is not going to work. Is there anyway to do the retrieval process without a notary? I guess I could just call them, but I feel faxing in/mailing stuff in is a much safer and easier way to do things.

Sometimes it makes you use a notary sometimes it doesn't. If you call and get them to send you the form most of the time ti wont require the notary.

When they ask for the notary form its either A. you had to send a recovery and the I.D you sent was considered legit
b. someone allready sent a recovery with the I.D

Honestly if you get to that step its pretty much GG I doubt they will reverse it in anyway unless you can submit the stuff they ask.

is the account even locked? cause by the sounds of what you are saying, you just want it back under your control, it only goes under notary, if they feel a fake ID has been sent in, or like Momo said, multiple ID's are being sent in

Thanks for the help guys. I was hoping to avoid having to call, mainly cause the name on the account is foreign, and my accent would sound totally bogus. Is it a universal form that I can find online and send in, or do they have to send one for your account?

Also, if I do call-in, should I ask for the form, or just say change the e-mail please?

I'd just call and say your email was changed and you need to change it back. If they decide they need to lock it they'll send you the form. And it'll prob be the one not requiring a notary.

I'd recommend just calling them and saying that your email was changed, and don't know how, just gotta lie about the name. If they decide to lock it, they'll notify you and you can upload your ID and send it to there account administrator w/ your SQA and they should unlock it.

Well I don't have enough spare time in my day to spend an hour and a half on hold unfortunately, not to mention, Its a foreign name, so my accent wouldn't work. Someone sent me a form so I'm going to write a note on that and hopefully that'll work out. Thanks for your help guys

From my experience when an account requires a notary to be re-opened , you're not getting that account back. Realistically the only way to get it reopened would be to have the OO actually go to a notary himself. I've heard of people sending in Photoshopped Notary forms but that is illegal and not recommended.
