Hello EPICNPC's.
I have an issue with my wifi router. I have 600 megabit internet, but it seems that my router is locked on 100 MBS via speedtest (ookla)
Router have double bands, one standard 2, GHz and second one is 5ghz that is even slower.
5 GHz band is not getting higher than 38 MBS, and not stable at all.
The announced speed of router is 300+800 on 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.

So why 5 GHz is slower, and why 2,4 GHz is not getting a higher speed?
Router: D-link DIR815/AC
No concrete walls whatsoever. Thank you

weird, 5ghz usually has a weaker signal but its much faster. How far away from the router are you, there might be **** causing signal drop.

The problem with maximum speed often comes from the actual Ethernet cable. Previous generation supported up to 100MBS. Try getting a new cable before doing anything with router

The wifi is really getting slow day by day. I also use the Dlink router and the thug is that the network speed is getting low and the basic pages like google home page or the Gmail page is not opening. I have to recover Gmail password each time because of the slow wifi.
