EpicNPC Brethren,

As an obsessed user of Discord (and someone who has been an Administrator for over a dozen servers) over the last year, to my surprise there was not an "official" Discord server for ENPC. [Enter gasps of horror and pain!] I would like to extend an invitation to anyone looking to connect with other community members, be it for buying, selling or trading, or to simply talk about any number of other topics, to join this Discord server and see how large we can make it grow!

Some highlights of what to expect:

If you are concerned about safety against impersonators, scammers and any number of other shady people, I will always suggest handling all transactions here on the forums through thread posts and PM's with the person you KNOW is the correct one. For the short-term, I will be handling all validations to grant proper Discord roles myself to ensure those who claim to be associated with a forum account actually are. I have spoken with Cecile28 and have been given the nod to post this in an "unofficial" capacity.

Welcome Discord! I'm very happy you found your way to the EpicNPC community.
Honestly, i've never used Discord and even never heard about it, but it seems interesting indeed.

I think this is a great alternative for these that doesn't prefer Skype.

Thanks and I couldn't agree more! I still use Skype occasionally, but I'm far more active on Discord.

Discord is a really great alternative for skype,ive used it alot and will check your server a bit later.
Also few weeks ago ive noticed strange bugs with skype, accidentaly i cant recieve a request and messages sometime. Still not fixed yet =\
Ive asked a few customers about their skype experience and found alot of people whos have alot problems arond it. So looks like im really going to change it for something like discord further.

Over a year ago when my main group of friends moved over from Skype to Discord, we honestly never looked back. Discord has made a plethora of changes in that time as well and the feature list has only grown and become more impressive. As mentioned above, if you find anything lacking on Discord or on the server, please don't hesitate to let me know.

You can use whatever e-mail you'd like to. It is not directly tied to these forums in any way, other than getting the community together.

Dang, it's kinda dead. I think the discord needs a lot more visibility if it's to catch on.

Maybe we need to speak more about epicnpc server on discord so people would join it. More marketing, more population.

Maybe if you remove that stupid bot that spams every channel and you add different channels for different games it will be alive.
Like this its useless and pointless to be there. Just remove that bot and add channels for like 15-20 trending games and you will see how everything improves.

The bot only pulls from the RSS feed every 15 minutes or so and even then, some channels go without messages being posted all day. If the channels were active with messages, people wouldn't noticed the RSS feed messages nearly as much. Will keep this suggestion in mind, though - ty!

Agreed! Skype is mostly used for business purpose (personal too), but for gamers Discord is more attractive and more alike people use it.

Ugh. I saw something back at the beginning of the year about them actively/proactively closing servers that break their ToS, but it's unfortunate they felt the one for this community was a violation as well.
