The Best Antivirus software for windows?

Not Recently Bumped
kasperky, been using them like since when their ******* license was uploaded to public , i think its almost 10 years or perhaps even more than 10years ago
norton also quite good , been using them when i was still working as network administrator at some isp many years ago.

btw i have giveaway kaspersky license for tester in each reagion, pls kindly check my signature if you guys interested

Kaspersky or ESET and maybe Malwarebytes to do manual scans.

But I don't run an antivirus at all, just be careful with what you download.

BTW: cloud antivirus software is crap. It's just a term they came up with to increase sales and in reality it isn't any better.

I know NOD Antivirus is pretty good. Actually it is the best one I had so far and it doesn't slow down my pc..

"The Best Antivirus software for windows?"

It depends. First, it depends the configuration of the device. Because if it's a "slower" configuration and if you add an antivirus who "eats" lots of resources than expect that the "lag" phenomenon to make its appearance.
But, let's say that in 2017 we all could afford some pretty good laptops and pc's so in my top recommendations are:

Paid version: Kaspersky;
Free version: Avira.

Also, for a deep scanning process I strongly recommend Malware Bytes (custom scan - scan for roots) - it's free and for removing some "sticky" ad's or plugins from you web browsers I recommend Adw Cleaner. But be aware what files do you delete from your system.

I'd suggest 'Norton Antivirus' as it's one of the leading Software Security Programs for Windows.

Also, as long as you keep your safe search and malware protection on within your browser settings and stay away from sites that are likely to give your computer a right good see into, then your System wont need all this extra protection. It all depends on what you're going to be doing with it. :p

I've been using ESET NOD32 for years and I love it. A bit over protective with certain programs, but other than that it's kept me safe and blocks any website cookies that are suspicious and also keeps me from going to certain sites that have been reported.

I used Norton 360, Never had a problem with my PC when i had it other than it putting a new .dll file or something in quarantine but all you do is click undo and it puts the file back and never does it again for that file.

I too prefer Kaspersky after Bitdefender started having memory hogging problems. Norton and McAfee were so bloated and the others seem to have their ups and downs. I really like how I can lock down the kids logins.

I used to run Avira antivirus , but as i see it today , you dont need an antivirus if you are smart browsing , its just make the system slower , just search wisely , dont download stupid things and you you can use the windows defender just fine .

I think there rly is NO BEST. But as some ppl have alr mentioned - be smart while browsing and take care where/what u download.

Avira was great back when i first started using it in 2009 still is great, i currently only have Premium Malwarebytes and Bitdefender ( was doing some multiboxing / wow private server things and bitdefender screwed my files in those areas up as false positves and wouldnt let me add acceptions for them at all so i uninstalled it on the super quick malware bytes + windows defender /ccleaner are fine stay away from AVG and Norton really bad in several areas NOD32 by eset is really good as well i used to run a software firewall but am now just setup with a router firewall that has been pen tested works great ! But the main thing here / golden rule of doing things in darker ends of the net ( torrents etc warez random files ******* things are almost always trojan injected somewhere avoid all russian movie sites if you are from the usa the majority of them who i wont name have multiple driveby downloads one minute im watching a movie the next all my game accounts are hacked emails everything the window was up for 3 seconds then gone thats all it takes guys ) is to make sure to use YOUR HEAD!!!! IF IT LOOKS FISHY FILE SIZE WISE A LOT SMALLER THAN IT SHOULD BE ITS MOST LIKELY INFECTED IF THE OFFER FOR WHATEVER YOU ARE DOWNLOADING IS TOO DAMN GOOD TO BE TRUE THAT MEANS IT IS EXACTLY TOO DAMN TRUE SO TURN THE OTHER WAY AND RUN......dont risk it with ******* apps mainly a good VPN is a nice thing to have around.

Cheerz!!!
