Buy Razer Naga MMO Gaming Mouse | Official Razer

Has anybody used/currently uses this mouse? I got it as a gift today and am using it but I find it a bit... unintuitive? Maybe I am doing it wrong perhaps? I have it set to use the numpad and the way I play is I have my main nukes bound on my keyboard while I have CD's and defensive CD's + interrupts and all that bound to this mouse in numpad mode. It works but I find myself constantly hitting the wrong buttons unintentionally.

If anyone else has any experience with this mouse and could share a few pointers on how to use it properly that would be great.

Thanks :)

from what i've heard it takes about a week or two for you to fully get used to the Naga, so if you're using it for competitive play i'd think twice.

Funny this should come up, as I just returned my Razer Naga after trying it for a week. Here's your mini review:

Pros:
Fantastic ergonomics -- the shape of the mouse is very comfortable, and the buttons have the right "button tension" -- soft enough to make for easy clicks, tense enough to avoid accidental clicks
Minimal resource use -- I never saw a difference in how WoW operated between my old mouse and the Naga.
Great drivers -- even though Razer products don't need the extra software to function, Razer might be the one company that understands how not to make crap drivers that bog down your system.

Cons:
--Non-tactile thumb button differences. In other words, I couldn't tell if I was thumbing the 1 button or the 5 button. The package comes with "trainers", which are little sticky tabs to give the buttons extra texture to help distinguish them by feel. It still didn't work for me. And that was my deal-breaker.
--The "forward" and "back" buttons are in a useless spot for me, tiny and to the left of the left-click button.

Summary:
Great quality mouse, great idea, and plenty of people have success with the "cellphone button pad" that this mouse sports. But even after 20 hours of gaming, I couldn't get used to it in any kind of reliable way, and I was missing clutch moves because of that. Back to my well-used and well-loved 5-button mouse.

That comes directly from a "review" on it posted today on the Twinkinfo.com forums after someone asked similar questions. The reason I quoted it is due to the bolded section about the "trainers" it comes with. If you're having trouble with the buttons on the side you might want to look into those, whatever they are.

takes a bit to get used to, i use it... its definitely a weird transition into it, but once you get it down, you never want to get rid of it. took me a couple days of random bgs of just completely messing up and using wrong moves at the wrong time... you'll get it down, just have to have patience.

I use this mouse in WoW, I bought it watching one of Swifty's videos. Had purchased it I'd say mid WoTLK expac, and I love it. I started only using it for tanking on my warrior due to all the buttons for key binds but honestly I use it for anything now..... There's a new Razer product called the "Nostromo" it's a gamepad that would further increase the use of key binds, but honestly this mouse does it all! yeah it took me about a week to get used to it I'd say like the others posted, One good thing is it comes with little rubberized things to help you get used to the feel of where the keys you plan to use are. Overall in my books it's a great buy!

Yes its a nice mouse, but takes a bit to get use to it., i also luv my logitech g-5 mouse.

WHat? You guys are crazy :D I used my Naga for like 3 hours before I was stuck to it. Only problem is like all razer products the build quality sucks. I had 3 of them before I decided enough was enough. First one the actual left moue button just died, second one all the LEDs went out and teh third one, well I have no idea what happened but it short circuited somehow and died, leaving a horrible smell of burning electronics in my room :P

Amazing button setup though, I just wish it was more durable.
