To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the change. I thought it would have been a lot better. For one, activity has decreased a lot, and the layout just doesn't seem to suit the type of forum all to well. What do you guys think? Do you prefer the old MMOBay vs. the new one (or vice-versa)?

The appearance can be changed, what I'm worried about is the drop of traffic... jeez. There is still around 300+ users on the old forums, and now, there is probably under a 100 on at any given time on these forums. For one, the WoW Buy/Sell has only been averaging about 15 users viewing when the old forums were reach 100+. Seems as if users are being lost in the cracks with all these changes being made. Hopefully, though, people come over here ><
 
Give it time, what they should do is close the old board and put a permanent link to this one.
 
As many have already stated, only time will tell. There are a few bugs in the works that need to be fixed, but it's been only one day since the migration over to VB. Furthermore, it's becoming increasingly clear that this type of move was necessary, by the looks of the speed increase between page loads and I'm sure we'll also have far less downtime with the new server upgrades that were recently made as well.
 
Just an FYI, the traffic stat at the bottom is completely different from the old UBB forums.

Old forums - 90 mins
New Forums - 90 secs

If you want me to change it back to 90 mins so the member count is much higher, let me know.
 
People will eventually adjust to change. However, I did like the older style better. Although, again, I'm sure this will grow on me over time.

Trust me, there has been concern within my own thoughts since the drop of "Markee Dragon" too... I'm not speaking to only you, Destiny, in fact it's aimed more to the people who have found their way across every thread trying to make their initial thought just that much worse.

Didn't think you were talking about me, I could care less honestly. I'm fine with the forum changes, I just hope people find their way here and aren't being lost in the cracks with all the changes being made.

Hamish, please refer to the posts that state a theme update will be available for you in about a weeks time. (For you dark lovers)
 
Yeah, you did. Losing the people that made this community possible in the first place is all I'm worried about.

Also I like VB a lot better, could be because i'm used to it from other forums. :D
 
My thoughts on these forums, Its a change, but I like certain aspects of it. The one thing I have to say I hate is having to open every unread post in the first page of a certain forum subject before that forum is marked as read.
