I've been waiting for Zen for almost 9 months now and all is finally complete.
Have been receiving parts one by one in the past two months and got the last one a few days ago.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 1700
MSI Tomahawk B350
HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 2666MHz
AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB DDR5 (transferred from old computer)
Samsung EVO 850 500GB (+500GB hdd from old)
PSU: Evga Supernova G3 750W
Case: Raidmax Vortex V4
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (from old)
Total price of all parts: ~1050€ (I paid ~850€ for the upgrade since some parts were used from old PC)
The performance boost is amazing, coming from Athlon X4 740
Might upgrade graphics in the following months, since it's a bottleneck now.
Did not install a new OS, still using the old Windows 7 64 bit (for over 5 years!). Will probably reinstall in the following month when I get some time. But it will still be Windows 7, not planning on switching to Win 10 (the OS is ok, what they are doing with it is not).
And saying that Ryzen is not supported on Windows 7 or that it performs worse is complete bullshit. There are no issues and the performance is the same, which I've seen for myself.
