Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00GB
system type: 64- bit Operating system
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 4890

The computer is not even one years old.
But it came with a package and I bought the rest, but I left the Mobo so the MOBO isn't new but everything is.

Please help me find a better solution to play High standard in WOW or RIFT.

Isnt Core 2 an old model? Maybe grab an Intel i7 860, its what I use, can run wow at ultra settings

A new motherboard will not increase your FPS.
The CPU is a bit dated, however it being a quad core @ 2.5 I don't see it holding back your gameplay a heck of a whole lot. Your best bet would be to upgrade your GPU. With the recent release of the 560 GTX it is by far the best bang for the buck at 250 USD and it will allow you to max settings in most of todays games. If this is a bit out of reach, go for a 460GTX which will also alow very good performance for a sub 200 USD price tag.

On this January i brought an AMD Radeon HD 6960 2gb for 310eur. From now I didn't have any compatibility problem and i'm allow to set max graphic settings. Maybe is a bit expensive, but a nvidia with similar features costs a lot more. (I've spent 500eur for my last invidia 2x 8800gt)

It would also help to know what resolution you play at so that we know how much VRAM you will possibly need and what card. To be honest, you will have trouble running rift on high even wih a gpu upgrade, the game is cpu heavy aswell. I would get myself an I7 and overclock that thing up to 4ghz with a after market cooler.

Or you can get a i5, but an i7 will be more future proof.
