Yesterday I noticed KhGame advertising a high end monk toon. Decided to check out their site, and to no surprise I found a site designed to scam members.

One of the first and most obvious things I found that threw up a red flag, was an armory to Killars rogue (in <vodka>) listed at only $1100. I reported his thread and gave relevant proof to show that it WAS Killars rogue, but not him actually selling it (he's still actively streaming.)

Nothing was done, and now we have someone out 500$ on an account because no action was taken against what was an obvious scammer.

I saw your report and replied to you yesterday because I didn't understand how the 2 armory links in the email you sent and the statement "Clearly Killars rogue" proved he was a scammer. There is no one registere here with the username "Killars". I asked you to post a thread in the Scam Busters forum with more info.

Today after the scam thread was posted I took a more indepth look at his account and that's when I saw that the URL he had listed in his thread didn't go the the URL it displayed, but to some free webhosting site.

We get lots of vague reports about members being scammers and while I do a quick investigation on all of them, many times I don't find anything and move on, which is what happened here.

Yes this should have been caught, but were not perfect and mistakes happen. Please provide more info next time to clearly show why you believe someone is a scammer and we can better handle the reports.

As far as I can see, I don't have any messages that I could have responded to.

The rogue listed is a rogue in <vodka> and has been with the guild for 3-4 years at this point. His rogue has been targeted multiple times by people like KhGame and every time, it's proven that it's NOT actually Killars selling his rogue.

My main issue with you, Mike, is the fact that you don't seem to actually play WoW (correct me if I'm wrong). It's nothing against you, and I hardly care whether or not you play - so I can't really blame you for not picking up on what I meant by the name Killars. I had hoped that your "top of the line Mod Staff" would have noticed something like this though, since I know several of them DO play US WoW.

There were also 2 scam busters threads opened up prior to the Active Dispute being created. The second Scam Busters thread was opened by the owner of a website where KhGame was stealing accounts from.

I've never played WoW so I do tend to miss things that perhaps a WoW player would pick up. And you are correct there are 2 threads in the Scam Busters forum and were not addressed. As I said we do make mistakes and this appears to be one of them, he should have been banned yesterday.

I'll make it a priority to check the Scam Busters forum more regularly and apologize for missing this one.
