iTrader shafting us?

I want to say that I do enjoy the iTrader system in a way, its a easy to follow feedback system which is nice and I never really likes rep threads to begin with.

My concern is that because you need the 3 trader feedback, some people who do transactions wont get feedback.

Ill give you an example of a past trade I just did with a new user.

I traded a vanilla wow account that I owned for a SC2 beta key to user ToRiseAgainst, He is new to the site so he did not have feedback privileges. We made a successful trade and right away I gave him positive feedback because he was a clean trader, went first and everything, and I was hoping that I could gain some feedback too and unfortunately he did not have the permissions to do so.

Now I dont want to sound greedy but getting no rep for a successful trade kind of sucks when, if your like me, want to build up a very high positive reputation on MMOBay.

I realize that the reason that you need 3 positive rep is so new users do not abuse the reputation system, but some of these users are here for 1 transaction and dont come back and I dont want to have to bug them everytime they are online to do more transactions so they can give me my rep.

Any thoughts on this?

I understand where you're coming from here, and I'm sure Mike will look into it. Unfortunately, that kind of stuff is probably not built into the program which would allow users who get feedback to reciprocate. This whole idea would add complexity to it and is therefore probably not pre-written. He might take a look at what add-ons are available. The whole reason we don't want to allow users with less than 3 points of feedback or TWV to rep is simply because of spoof reps between the same people. If that user ever gets 3+ reputation, I'm sure it would not be out of the question should you ask that they provide you reputation for a previous transaction that took place.

Should fix this problem while being relatively harmless.

another alternative would be if you could set something up like they had on MD non-twv ratings. it would be a feedback left but wouldnt be added to the itrader score.

Yeah iTrader is it when it comes to vBulletin plugins that you want premade insofar as feedback systems are concerned. Not all that difficult to make a custom feedback solution. Should be able to find a freelance PHP programmer to either mod iTrader or create a new feedback system for relatively cheap.

Yet again, when you make the move into iTrader (IE importing all that data), it is quite a pain to make a new feedback solution and get that iTrader data into the new solution. Just one of the many things wrong with iTrader.
