I have an asus 146cb, intel core i5 third generation with nvidia geforece 740m, 4gb ram
Is overclocking will boost performance by significant value? I played some new high end games, but my fps was low and sometimes the games became unresponsive.

Will overclocking my hardware improve a lot performance?
And will it broke my hardware? :(:(

I think that to do so is dangerous, it is better to involve professional

It can make your system unstable and possibly brake your hw. Laptops have poor cooling so I wouldnt do it. You wont improve the performance much anyway, like 20% max.

If i were you, i wouldn't do it. Mainly because the manufacturer's wattage control was especially designed for each model. For example, if you overclock your CPU/APU, you will increase the power consumption, which leads to an overheat. If you desperately need to overclock, you can always buy a base for your laptop which has fans blowing directly to the "exhaust" of the laptop fan. I actually have overclocked my APU, from 1.8 to 2.0 GHz and i gotta admit, the difference is not easily noticeable, except of the fact that i have to clean the fans and apply thermal paste regularly. I hope that helps you, and good luck ;)

You risk overheating the laptop too much, which will likely fry the motherboard. Unless the chipset is made to be OC

laptops does not have enough cooling for overclock so I dont suggest to do anything for overclock

temperature is generalyy low but if you use overclock temperature wil be generally too high and it can damage your laptop
thats my idea

I personally don't recommend overclocking laptops. They simply don't have enough room to circulate air and cool the components. Add the low clearance from ground and build-up of heat and you have a disaster waiting to happen.

If you ever attempt to overclock, buy a cooling pad for your laptop to rest on. It's vents will cool your laptop.
