I just recently got out of the hospital because of a concussion I suffered when I slipped on ice. So I've been on painkillers and have been very tired and been sleeping all day and woke up at 3am.
I decided I wanted to buy a wows account because why not and found this one https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/best-800-wows-eu-account-you-will-find-need-sold.2762939/
I told user to send me a DM on website with their discord so we could chat. Then I noticed someone added me on discord and linked the account. So here's where I messed up I didn't really look carefully at the user of the person who was dming me since I was so tired so I ended up talking to the scammer and made a deal with him. But since I didn't have enough on my account I never went through with the deal and asked if the person could wait 3 - 7 days so I could get more money.(there's more but I'll let screenshot show)
To add to this the scammer wanted me to send him 100$ to reserve the account to which I said I'll do 50$ but I would send it after work. Now that I've arrived back from work I almost went through with the deal but luckily another scammer added me on discord and claimed to be the account owner and that's where I started doing an investigation and saw the people that dmed weren't even the OO. You could say the next scammer saved me from getting scammed lmao...
TLDR: Almost got scammed because I didn't look at who was dming me and made a deal with a scammer. But another scammer dmed me which made me look even closer to see that none of them were the OO and I didn't lose my 50$
Moral of the story: Don't do business when you're exhausted and specially without thoroughly looking.
Please guys always confirm with DM if you're using discord and also look throughly or you might end up the way I almost did.
