I'm not sure where I read this (just checked the FAQ quickly and didn't find anything on it), but a while back I saw that there was a fee to get them to change your username. It might have changed since the last time I saw this information, but I hope that helps.

On the md forums you could purchase a name change. The opition hasn't been discussed yet for these forums. Prob won't happen till we change to vbulletin
