having an issue with loud fan

my hp dv7 has been acting up lately. the fan is rather on the loud side. the fan is clean, paste is applied to the cpu and the cooler is in place but my fan always is loud. any ideas to a resolve? i was considering trying to buy a new one and see how that goes but am waiting to see what people have to say about it.

Fans can go wonky after a certain length of time, might be the case.

check if any cable is contacting the fan or make sure the fan is placed properly try moving it around a bit
download speedfan and check how fast your fan runs

Could actually be quite a few things. Had an issue with an older PC at one point. My fan started having issues after installing a new graphics card that required me to also upgrade my power supply. After upgrading that power supply, my fan would only ever run at 95% or 100%, never anything lower. I'd say download some third party program to monitor your fan speed and see if it's continuously running at a high level.

Basically did you check if your temperatures are high? a fan should never run so hard to make too much noise unless the PC is burning you need to do proper troubleshooting before deciding you need to replace a part that might be doing simply the job its meant to do....

replace the thermal paste. If that doesn't work try replacing fan with new one
