It seems every time I have to update my GPU drivers I run into an issue with GeForce where it either won't install the drivers properly and I have to forcefully fully remove them (including GeForce Experience) or after it installs the display drivers it (GeForce Experience) just sits at a gray screen forever until I close it or restart my PC. Has anyone been having this issue? Is there any kind of fix for this (I have reinstalled windows 3 times)? Any suggestions, in general, would be much appreciated!

I have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING OC card in my system at the moment.

can you go into more detail ? or record what happens

Not really much to record after it uninstalls then installs the new graphics driver it (GeForce Experience) will just go to a gray screen and sit there forever without displaying any kind of information what so ever.

have you tried installing from official website ? or just by device manager > display adapter > Uninstall device + delete driver software folder then re updating through device manager

You dont really need geforce experience

That's what I have reverted to but GeForce Experience is just easier imo so thought id ask to see if someone had the same issue/fix.

from my experience , geforce cause more frame drops

I have shadow play disabled and everything else that comes with it. From my testing, I have seen no difference in frames but that may be true on older graphics cards.
