Okay so I just got the Reef Octopus NS-80 Nano Skimmer today.
Is there a way to decrease the sound coming from the air tube/pump?

Also does anybody know how fast the collection cup fills up in a day so I know if I positioned my skimmer on the right water level.

How large is yours? Mines only nano 65L

I don't even care about the sound anymore, I just turn on my fan to zone out the sound.

Also I think I found the correct level of the skimmer, the collection is yellowy but not brown or tea colour.

how long has your system been set up? has it fully cycled? i have a 90g display with a 40g sump, so 130 total for my aggressive fish (puffers, panther grouper, eel) and i have a 60 mixed reef with a 60 sump that changes total volume every 4 hours.

My tank has been running for a week somewhere around there. Just started so yeah

I'm using startsmart so I don't have to wait so long for it to full cycle. I also stopped the skimmer because a friend of mine told me that the skimmer takes out the startsmart. I found the correct water level so all I need to do now is wait for it to fully cycle and then turn it back on

Using the test kit every few days to check out my water

saltwater is a very slow going hobby. but taking it nice and easy will pay off with gorgeous tanks

I'm not really looking to build a crazy aggressive fish tank like yours since mine is too small.

Just want like clowns (other fish ofc), nems and coral.
