Reported problem: Hi, everything was fine at first, but the account was "locked for security reasons" on 30. October.
Since the Email, display name, and IP have changed, I wouldn't be concerned, but...
The Gmail Account he provided also had its password and Recoverymail (!) changed as well on 29. October. Due to Google's security measures, we could not change the recoverymail immediately after the deal.
If I sell an account and the Gmail account has been compromised, I would immediately do everything I can to restore it for the buyer, right?
Ive submitted a ticket to Anet to inquire about the status of the account and they responded on 31. October. Anet needs the following Details:
• Any registered serial key: • Account creation date: Account creation location (city and country) Mobile phone number • Any order ID: • Billing name: • Full billing address (including postal code if applicable): • Character names:
Ive immediately send him the message from anet. Since then, nothing happend. He just made a voice message saying, he is going to get back to me in 5h on 1.November.
I understand it's weekend, but if you're online on epicnpc all the time until 3 a.m., I can't understand why he simply does not care.
Before the Deal, he was very communicative and replied quickly. He has also not disclosed all serial numbers and account details. I asked him about the missing Informations but he ignored it.
Either because he doesn't have them or hasn't read them... who knows.
It seems like he bought the account elsewhere, masquerading as the original owner, and got scammed by the real owner now.
The oldest emails from the Gmail account were from July 2025, and since the Guild Wars Account is several years old, that doesn't seem to be right either. If the password and recovery email for Gmail hadn't been changed, I wouldn't be so confused about his behavior.
It could still all be a big misunderstanding, but so far that's how it looks to me. I hope that the case will still turn out well, but to be honest, I have little hope.
It would be a real shame if my suspicions were confirmed.
Thank you.
Outcome of dispute: The seller refused to help recover the account.
