hey there all,

as stated I decided to build roughly a budget pc gaming rig. I installed all the parts correctly, connections are fine, when I go to power the thing on the cpu fan will spin, case fan,psu fan and graphics card fan all spin as well. However before all this upon turning it on you hear all the fans turn on and whir but no beep to state that the computer is posting, no bios what so ever. Plugging a display is hopeless. I've tried 3 individual monitors. I would really appreciate anyone who could help me resolve this issue

Parts List is:

CPU: Amd Athlon II x3 440 at 3.0ghz
MoBo: Foxconn A6GMV series
Graphics card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Hard drive 500gb Seagate
Case: Zalman z7 plus with fans included (3 of them)
Disc Drive: cant quite remember. will have to look up.

If you have one of these Motherboard accessories
I would suggest plugging it in to see if you get a beep code error. If you do have one and get an error post back with what the error was ^_^.

When I had a similar problem it was after I shipped my computer by UPS and it was destroyed. Only parts in it that were still usable was the CPU, cd drives, and fans.

what kind of RAM do you have? if you can provide me with newegg links for all your parts I could help you more :)

I am always on AIM so feel free to AIM me if you have any questions. If I do not respond it means I am sleeping and I will get back to you as soon as I wake up.

ram is DIMM ddr3 1333hz and i have 2x2gb sticks, and on the newegg parts list, i live in the UK and so largely i cannot find them on Newegg but i will try my hardest

okay update, i can get the computer running with no graphics card and just 1 stick of ram,(onboard graphics) does that mean my ram and graphics cards are faulty or not compatible

Hurrah! got it working, i make this post from my new computer. Thank you Leetsales so much for the help it turned out that one of my ram sticks was faulty and that was what was forcing the system not to display. thank you so much again and I really aprreciate your help.

I just woke up, sorry for the slow response ^_^

Everything looks like it should work if it is hooked up properly which you said it is. If you have any motherboards or different GFX cards laying around I would try switching those out 1 at a time and seeing if you get anything.

make sure your power supply is big enough for all the parts and all that normal stuff, if it does not work it is most likely that a part came DOA (I would guess MOBO or GFX).

I managed to get it all working, I ended up just using one stick of ram and then the onboard graphics card to get windows installed, i then installed all the graphics card drivers and motherboard drivers, i then reseated my graphics card and it worked! when i went to install the second stick of 2gb ram i found that it woulnd't turn on, tried reseating a couple of times and trying the stick itself on its own and it still wouldn't work. This has lead me to believe the stick is faulty as the other stick works fine in both slots, i have sent it back and are waiting on a replacement :)

i will keep you update just incase i hit trouble when i try installing the new stick of ram
