BitCoin... Someone please explain to me

Any help on this would be awesome... Some friends were talking about it at work and I don't understand.

What is it? How is it managed? How do you get Bitcoins!?

Hey Hankle, I'm fairly new in this forum but I think I can give you a insight of what bitcoins are. Answering your first question, Bitcoin is a internet currency that is getting really famous over the years. It's already used to buy games, to buy clothes and much more things. Answering your second and third question, you can only generate bitcoins with miners. You can find miners all over the internet but I would go with official ones just to be safe about everything, you can also buy proper machines that generate bitcoins for you the bad thing is that they are expensive and you will have to pay a lot of electricity in the end of the month.
