Helloo there people! making a come back with new rig

Got my self a Ryzen 5 3600 (this thing is a beast)
and a GTX 1070 (you may think its old but still powerfull enough for me)
also a pair of 3200MHZ RAM since everyone says ryzen loves fast ram :love:

also upgrading from a 1080p monitor to 1440p (HUGE SHARPNESS IN DIFFERENCE)
very happy with it, so what are you guys up too:cool:
 
Not sure if 1070 is good enough for that cpu, especially if you're aiming for 1440p with 140+ fps

You're going to bottleneck your PC. -Meaning the GPU is holding back your CPU to perform better.

The 1070 is too weak for the Ryzen 5 3600 now.

Ryzen 5 3600 is a powerful CPU and requires atleast 32GB ram.

Considering you also want to run 1440p with 144hz, you'd definitely need a stronger graphics card. I would suggest getting a 2070 minimum

Honestly, i'm not a hardcore gamer i play mostly battlefield for now but in the near future will definitely upgrade

not really a bottleneck since im at 1440p 75hz but hey i don't game 24/7 and i'm a photographer and the 3600 helps a bunch
but you're right and i need to up my ram, not neccessarily i need to do it right now but when i get the chance haha

True. It probably wont bottleneck that much since you're at 1440p. You should be ok with just photoediting.

Would love to hear updates though, pros and cons of your set up
 
Ryzen doesn't require 32GB ram.
16gb is still enough for practically everything, especially at 2k. The ram choice was good.
